Ikki stared into her eyes. „Esmeralda…“, he murmured. „It is almost unbelievable that such a cruel, vile being like your father was able to create such a gentle, pure soul like you.“
The girl laughed sheepishly. „Eat now, my brave warrior. You need it. Sorry I only could snatch up bread and dry meat.“
Without replying, he grabbed a loaf of bread and took a bite. Then he smiled to Esmeralda.
„Don’t worry. This is the best food I ever had.“

Even though Ikki is not my favourite, I still love the relationship between him and Esmeralda. Ach, Esmeralda... if you would have survived... a shame she had to die. Well, it is up to us fans, then, to create stories and pictures with this couple. Esmeralda is so sweet, caring for Ikki like that...
