Literature Text

On your throne you sit
regal and calm
and apple, a fruit
you hold in your palm
stretching out your hand
to the bear, the giant
oh how great your power
before such a beast does cover
a strengh, gentle and sublime
before which the wild become tame
your arrow flies swift and true
as you run with deer, visible only as a hue
Oh Artio, lend us your strenght
give us the power of the bear for this fight
guide our arrows to their goal
so that no hunt may never fail

DEAE ARTIONI
A total random poem again. n.n" I was doing a little research to which gods the old Helvetii prayed (after all, they were our ancestors). And one was Artio, goddess of bears and hunt. Not much is known about her... I got a little inspiration by Diana/Artemis, since it seems the old Romans equaled Artio to their own goddes of hunt and moon.

Oh, and I just realised I totally messed up the rhyming halfway through. T.T

And the latin DEAE ARTIONI means "to the goddess Artio", which is part of an inscription on the statue above.

Well, you're good at "random" poems so far! (I actually had to Google Artio, I had no idea who she was before...) However, you might want to work on your rhymes a tiny tiny bit. :3 Props for being awesome in history!

Please forgive me for pointing this out, but it's strength with "th", not strenght. I've seen this a couple of times on your page. *runs away and hides* D:
